The Ministry of the People, Social Development and Family Services (MPSDFS) advises the public that it is aware of the shooting incident earlier today, in the Belmont area, which claimed the lives of three persons, including a child. The Ministry extends sincere condolences to all those affected by this deeply tragic occurrence, which has shaken the national community.

The Ministry, through its service delivery units, including the National Family Services Division, stands ready to support the efforts that are currently being considered by the Victim and Witness Support Unit of the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service.
