The Ministry of the People, Social Development and Family Services has pledged its support to the Nurturing Development and Empowerment Organization (N’DEO) through the provision of a one-off grant of $10,000 for its Voice of Hope – Empowering Children through Expression and Healing programme.
Minister of the People, Social Development and Family Services, the Honourable Vandana Mohit, today, Wednesday May 20, 2026, presented the one–off grant to the Penal-based Non- Governmental Organisation (NGO) in support of the youth-focused initiative, which is designed to empower children and young people between the ages of 5 and 17 years.
The programme is scheduled to be held in commemoration of the International Day of Innocent Children Victims of Aggression, which highlights the rights of children and recognises the impact of violence and conflict on their well-being.
Minister Mohit expressed her pleasure in supporting the organisation and encouraged its members to continue ensuring that the needs of the people they serve are effectively met with care and compassion.
